Joel Barlow 11, Farmington 8
REDDING, May 24, 2002 -- Christine Nicol had three goals but Joel Barlow spoiled Farmington's final game of the season with an 11-8 victory. Ali Corso, Sarah Steinberg, Jori Hales, Megan Clerkin and Becca Evans also scored for the Indians (1-14-1).

Glastonbury 19, Farmington 5
GLASTONBURY, May 21, 2002 -- Jori Hales had her fourth hat trick of the season while Becca Evans had a goal and two assists but the Tomahawks were too strong for Farmington. After Christine Nicol tied the game at 3-3 with 17:21 left in the first half, Glastonbury responded with 11 unanswered goals to seize control of the game.

Farmington 16, Newington 3
NEWINGTON, May 20 -- Christine Nicol scored a career-high five goals as the Indians won their first game of the season with a dominating 16-3 win over Newington under the lights at NHS.

Jori Hales had three goals while Killeen Helming, Becca Evans and Lindsey Peck had two each. Farmington, which set a single-game record for most goals, led 6-2 at halftime and outscored Newington by a 10-1 margin in the second half. The 13-goal victory ties the record for the most lopsided FHS victory the program's history. FHS beat Ledyard, 15-2 in 2000.

Somers 11, Farmington 7
FARMINGTON, May 11, 2002  -- Somers had a one goal lead at halftime (6-5) but exploded for four unanswered goals to open the second half and beat the Indians. Jori Hales had three goals for the Indians (0-12-1).

Farmington 10, Avon 10, 2 OT
FARMINGTON, May 10, 2002 -- Tricia Bell scored three goals in the first half as Avon took a 5-2 lead but the Indians scored a pair of goals in a two minute span to cut the lead to one. Avon led 6-4 at halftime and extended its lead to four, 9-4, after Ilana Kafer scored her second goal of the game with 17:30 left in the second half.

But Farmington (0-11-1) clamped down defensively, outscoring Avon 4-0 in the final 12:30 of the contest to force overtime. Killeen Helming scored a goal with 1:40 left in regulation to trim the Falcon lead to 9-8 and scored again with 40 seconds left to tie at 9-9.

Katie Andrews scored with 19 seconds left in the first overtime and the Indians swarmed the field in celebration, thinking they had won the game in sudden death OT. But the game referees said the teams were not playing sudden death and had to play a pair of three-minute OT periods. Avon's Alex Manzin scored with 2:15 left in the second OT to tie the game at 10-10.

Farmington's Helming had a season-high five goals for the Indians while Rebecca Evans had two goals. Bell had three first-half goals for the Falcons. Goalie Jessica Dahle made 12 saves on 25 Falcon shots.

Mercy 6, Farmington 5
FARMINGTON, May 9, 2002  -- With seven minutes to go, sophomore Lanaya Nelson received a pass from Katie Barrett at midfield, took off on a fast break and scored the game-winner as Mercy (4-5) erased a two-goal halftime deficit to earn the win. Carly Baratt had two goals and three other players each scored one as goalkeeper Alicia Evangelista made nine saves on the day. Mercy outshot Farmington (0-11) by a 25-15 margin. Jori Hales had three goals for FHS.

Windsor 7, Farmington 2
WINDSOR, May 7, 2002 -- Windsor scored four unanswered goals in the second half to pull away from the Indians (0-10). Jori Hales and Sarah Steinberg scored for Farmington while goalie Jessica Dahle made 11 saves.

Guilford 14, Farmington 3
FARMINGTON, April 30, 2002 -- On a busy afternoon at FHS, Guilford used an eight-goal outburst in the first half to beat the Indians, 14-3. Christine Nichol, Rebecca Evans and Jen Martin scored for Farmington. The boys and girls track teams had home meets along with the girls and boys lacrosse teams.

Glastonbury 11, Farmington 6
FARMINGTON, April 28, 2002 -- The Tomahawks scored seven goals in the second half to snap a 4-4 tie at halftime and outlast the Indians (0-7). Leading scorer Jori Hales had two goals for the Indians.

Avon 10, Farmington 2
AVON, April 26,2002 ---Tricia Bell had five goals to lead the Falcons to a victory in a matchup of two teams searching for their first victory. Jess Dahle and Killeen Helming each had a goal for the Indians (0-6). Avon goalie Tara Wagner stopped 15 Farmington shots.

Conard 17, Farmington 6
FARMINGTON, April 23, 2002  -- The undefeated Chieftains jumped out to a nine-goal lead before the Indians could crack the scoreboard in a game in Farmington. Jori Hales had two goals for the Indians (0-5) while Kaitlyn Roche, Kileen Helming, Alyssa Ganci and Christine Nichol each had a goal.

Hall 14, Farmingon 4
FARMINGTON, April 11, 2002 -- Jori Hales had two goals but Hall was able to overwhelm the Indians in a home match. Goalie Jessica Dahle made 17 saves for the winless Indians. (0-4). Farmington will be off for a week due to spring vacation.

Simsbury 20, Farmington 6
FARMINGTON, April 8, 2002 -- A more experienced Simsbury (2-1) team galloped out to an early lead and routed host Farmington (0-3). Katie Andrews and Christine Nicol each had two goals for the Indians.

Somers 7, Farmington 5
SOMERS, April 4, 2002 -- Theresa MacFeat had three goals as Somers erased deficits of 3-1 and 5-4 to beat Farmington, 7-5, in the season opener for both teams in Somers. The host Spartans scored three goals in a span of 3:31 to seize the lead in the second half. Jori Hales had a goal and assist for FHS (0-1) while goalie Jessica Dahle made 18 saves.
